URA TALKS: Knowing Your Rights in Lockdown — Guidance for Migrants, Asylum Seekers, and Refugees Summary Paragraph: The lives of migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees were already marked by instability and hardship before the COVID-19 pandemic. With the introduction of lockdown regulations, their circumstances became even more uncertain and distressing. Recognizing the urgent need for accurate information during this crisis, the Universal Rights Association (URA) hosted an online Zoom session with legal and human rights experts. The session aimed to equip participants with reliable knowledge about their rights, counteract harmful misinformation circulating on social media, and offer practical guidance for navigating life under lockdown. This initiative formed part of URA’s ongoing commitment to empowering vulnerable communities through awareness and advocacy.
